PREDICTIONS

The following are some of the national predictions I have made. These were posted on various Vedic astrology Internet Newsgroups, and include the dates I made the prediction.

At the top of each prediction is the subject matter in captial letters. Below that is the place, date and time I posted the prediction.

Vice President, Dick Cheney Briefly Hospitalized

Dear Friends:

On January 7, 2006, during the astrology class that I teach monthly, I reviewed the chart of U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney.

I suggested that through the end of May 2006, he is vulnerable to significant problems with reference to his family, heart, health, career, hospitals and foreign lands.

I mentioned that March and April will be quite difficult for him, especially from mid-March to mid-April 2006.

Within two days of the class, came the following news:

Vice President, Dick Cheney Briefly Hospitalized

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Vice President Dick Cheney was hospitalized for several hours early Monday at George Washington University Hospital after suffering shortness of breath, the White House said.

The vice president left the hospital after about four hours, aides said.

"His doctors found that his EKG [electrocardiogram] was unchanged and determined that he was retaining fluid as a result of anti-inflammatory medication he has been taking for a foot problem," a statement from Cheney's office said.

"They have placed him on a diuretic."

Cheney went to the hospital by car about 3 a.m. ET and was accompanied by his wife, Lynne, who remained with him, a Bush administration source said.

The vice president has history of health problems, including four heart attacks, a persistent concern since he was picked as President Bush's running mate in 2000. He had three mild heart attacks and quadruple-bypass surgery before he was 50, and one attack since.

His first heart attack came in 1978 at age 37.

He underwent quadruple bypass surgery in 1988. A coronary stent was inserted in November 2000.

In June 2001, doctors implanted a cardioverter defibrillator, a device that monitors and normalizes an irregular heartbeat. Cheney refers to it as his "pacemaker plus."

INDIAN OCEAN EARTHQUAKE
PREDICTION

In my weekly column, on Dec. 16, 2004 just before the Indian Ocean earthquake measuring 9.5, which triggered the deadliest tsunamis in recorded history, killing almost 300,000 people, I wrote the folllowing:

"Sun is under the close aspect of Rahu until December 26th. Leaders and governments can expect the unexpected."

WEEKLY COLUMN PREDICTIONS

(Published July 6, 2005 for the week of July 7-13)

"Mars transits Pisces from 23:02 to 27:31°, conjunct Rahu. (This disturbs war, fires, surgery, accidents, property and explosions.) Mercury is conjunct Venus and transits Cancer from 17:25 to 23:27°, under the aspect of Rahu, July 8-Aug. 10. (Watch for wild, emotional swings in the stock market.) Venus is conjunct Mercury and transits Cancer, from 16:58 to 25:24°, under the aspect of Rahu, July 8-16. (Protect the women in your life and be careful traveling.)

Dear Friends:

If indeed Howard Dean's birth data is Nov. 17, 1948, at 7:21 p.m., New York....

I don't see how he could get elected to the presidency.

This gives the Gemini rising sign, with a number of weak planets....

For example, the chart contains debilitated Venus, weak Mars (00:08 degrees), badly placed Sun (sixth house), afflicted Saturn (by Rahu's fifth aspect), weak Mercury (on account of its debilitated dispositor) and badly placed Moon (twelfth house).

Jupiter, in its own sign of Sagittarius in the house of relationships, has been carrying the chart all along.

The democrats had better come up with a better candidate if they want seriously challenge Bush.

WEALTHY CELEBRIITY/SOCIALITE ON TRIAL FOR SECURITIES FRAUD

Venus completes it transit through its exaltation sign (Pisces) and moves into Aries. Venus is weak until 2:00 p.m., March 4. This is not good for Martha Stewart, who is under transit afflictions or weakness until March 7, and the Rahu, Ketu axis until July.

SPACE SHUTTLE DISCOVERY

Date: July 12, 2005 (one day prior to launch).

Dear Friends:

I am concerned about the launching of the Space Shuttle Discovery, which is due to launch on July 13, at 3:51 p.m. from Cape Canaveral, Florida.

In viewing the horoscope for the time of the launch, I find quite a number of serious problems with the chart.

This can indicate a delay, unsuccessful launch, or even a disaster.

(The following day, on July 13, the launch was cancelled just two hours before the scheduled takeoff, due to a faulty fuel gauge).
