Vedic astrology is said to more than 5,000 years old and is called "Jyotish", the "divine science of light". It is said to be the "eyes of the Vedas" and was cognized by the ancient Rishis (seers) of India.
David Hawthorne has studied Vedic astrology since 1988 and practices the Systems' Approach to Interpreting Horoscopes as developed by Professor V.K. Choudhry of Gurgaon, India.
The Systems' Approach provides a clear, concise, and scientific approach to Vedic astrology, removing it from the realm of psychic and mystical capabilities.
With the Systems' Approach, the practitioner simply provides the client with the guidelines to understand how the planetary configurations are operating in his or her life both at the time of birth and at the present time.
There are also twofold remedies to add protective covering to life and to help significantly reduce afflictions in one's life.
The purpose of the Systems' Approach to Vedic astrology is to know your strengths and weaknesses; your past, your present, and your future; and what to do about these circumstances.
David Hawthorne is the President of the International Institute of Predictive Astrology (IIPA) with more than 200 members worldwide. He is also a member of both the American Council of Vedic Astrology, and the Systems' Institute of Hindu Astrology.
In October 1999, DavidHawthorne was conferred with the title: "Jyotish Bhanu" by Professor V.K. Choudhry and the Systems' Institute of Hindu Astrology (Gurgaon, India). The title is translated as "one who radiates the science of light" (of Vedic astrology).
Mr. Hawthorne has also been practicing the Transcendental Meditation Program and TM-Sidhi Program, as taught by His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, since 1973 and 1979, respectively.
He resides in Fairfield, Iowa, USA -- the largest community of meditators in North America -- with his wife Eileen, and their three children, Bryan, Sara, and Galen.
